Ana Rewakowicz

The following interview was produced and recorded by Ricardo Dal Farra during March of 2018.

Ana Rewakowicz is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on growing environmental complexities in the world. Influenced by Buckminster Fuller’s concept of “synergetics” she strives for the integrity of processes and ideas looking at biomimicry and “homeotechnology” as sources of inspiration.

Currently, together with scientists at L’École Polytechnique, she is researching and developing the Mist Collector project that addresses the global water shortage. Her art crosses into many disciplines including science, invention, design and architecture. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and is a recipient of many grants and awards. Her recent exhibitions include: Festival “Przemiany”, Copernicus Science Centre, Warsaw, Poland (2015), B-312 Gallery, Montréal, Québec (2015), Bienal del Fin del Mondo, Mar Del Plata, Argentina (2014), ISEA 2014, Dubai, UAE, British School at Rome, Italy (2014), Polish Institute in Rome, Italy (2013), Stiftelsen 3,14, Bergen, Norway (2013), Anchorage Museum, Alaska, USA (2012), Joyce Yahouda Gallery, Montréal, Canada (2011), CSW Laznia, Gdansk, Poland (2010), Pori Art Museum, Finland (2010) and La Maison Europénne de la Photographie, Paris, France (2009).
