Artista multimedia y filósofo, nació en Paris y vive actualmente en Montreal, Canadá. Es cofundador y copresidente de la Cité des arts et des nouvelles Technologies de Montreal. Entre sus numerosos proyectos, podemos citar que ha sido el responsable de la exposición y el concurso internacional de animación digital Images du futur entre 1986 y 1997, creador del Festival Telescience en 1990 y su director general hasta el 2002, creador del Marché international du multimédia en 1993, del Café électronique y de Cybermonde en 1995.
Her two areas of interest are fashion and media arts. She completed her undergraduate studies in fashion at the University of Applied Arts (HEAA - Haut école des arts appliqués) in Geneva, Switzerland and at Univerisité du Québec à Montréal's (UQAM) fashion school (École supérieure de mode). Ying Gao then earned a Masters Degree in Multimedia at UQAM and went on to acquire her professional experience in Paris, Montreal and Beijing. She began in fashion forecasting and interactive multimedia and afterwards proceeded to fashion design and teaching. The projects that she are currently completing focus on new material and interactive clothing.
Sandeep Bhagwati is a composer and intermedia artist. He was born in Bombay, India, and has been living also in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Canada. His compositions have been performed at leading festivals worldwide, such as the World New Music Festival and the Venice and München Biennales; his five music theater/operas have been staged at venues such as: Centre Pompidou in Paris, and Munich and Darmstadt State Operas.
Barbara Layne received her MFA in Textile Design at the University of Kansas and is currently an Associate Professor of Studio Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. She is the Principal Investigator of a major infrastructure grant from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and her work has been supported by the Hexagram Institute, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
